Prof. Dr. Ahmet Erdem
1963 yılında Ankara’da doğdu. Orta ve lise öğrenimini Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesinde tamamlayarak, 1981 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde tıp eğitimine başladı. 1987 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesini tamamladı. Aynı yıl Gazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum A.B.D.’da uzmanlık eğitimine başladı. 1992 yılında Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum uzmanı oldu. 1993-1996 yılları arasında mecburi hizmetini Samsun Doğumevinde tamamladı. 1996 yılında Gazi Üniversitesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Ana Bilim Dalına Uzman Doktor olarak başladı. 1998 yılında tüp bebek çalışmalarına başladı ve Gazi Tüp Bebek Merkezini kuran ekipte görev aldı. 2003 yılında doçent ve 2009 yılında profesör unvanı aldı. 1998 yılından beri kısırlık ve tüp bebek tedavilerini aktif olarak yürütmektedir. Prof Dr Ahmet Erdem’in akademik ilgi alanları Yardımcı Üreme Teknikleri (Tüp bebek , inseminasyon) başta olmak üzere, jinekolojik endokrinoloji (Polikistik over sendromu, menopoz, üreme hormone bozuklukları), endoskopik cerrahi, endometriozis, çoğul ve yüksek riskli gebeliklerdir. Bu konularda yurt dışı saygın dergilerde çok sayıda bilimsel çalışması vardır. Ayrıca “American Society of Reproductive Medicine”, “European Society of Human Reproduction And Embriology”, “American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopy” yurt içinde “Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine” cemiyetlerine üyedir. Prof Dr Ahmet Erdem evli ve iki çocuk babasıdır.
